School Bell awards luncheon at the House of Delegates in

Joe Smith of TexasISD.com, TSTA President Donna New Haschke, Tricia
Cortez of the Laredo Morning Times and Peter Daut of KFOX-TV in El
Paso.

Joe earned a
master’s degree in journalism from The University of Texas and
previously worked as an editorial writer and columnist at the San
Antonio Express-News, the opinion page editor at the Muskogee
(Okla.) Daily Phoenix and Times-Democrat and the editorial page
editor at the Victoria Advocate before coming to TSTA.
