MEMORANDUM

RE:                  Compliance Documents for Locals

The TSTA Bylaws provide for grants each year to all Local Associations that are in compliance with certain minimum standards. Please note that this memorandum is about the rebate you expect to receive next year (2007-08).  In an effort to ensure that your local is in compliance and receives these grants, I am providing the following information and instructions. Below you will find the forms to be completed and returned to TSTA.  The date following each form indicates the date by which it must be postmarked in order to receive full grants.

1.   A list of Local Association Officers and Association Representatives (name, home and work addresses and phone numbers and home and work emails) for 2007-08 (June 30)

2.   Compliance Standards Form for Local Association (June 30)

3.   A copy of the current Bylaws for your Local Association (June 30)

4.   Audit Report for the year ending August 31, 2007 (October 31)

5.   Local Information Sheet for Dues Accounting/Membership Records (July 31)

Please note that we are requesting a copy of your current Bylaws to ensure that we have the most recent version on file. Please return all forms and the Bylaws to TSTA Organizing Center for Executive and Governance, 316 West 12th Street, Austin, Texas 78701. The first checks will be mailed to those locals that have returned all of the required forms on and are current on their dues on or about April 15, 2008.  If the forms are not returned or your dues are not current, you will not receive a check.

We also are enclosing a form that can be used to inform TSTA of any changes in officers or ARs after the original information is returned.
