TFTA Officers and Advisors
The State TFTA Executive Committee is elected at the state convention each year and includes the six elected officers, the appointed corresponding secretary, the advisor of each officer, the advisor of the past president, the state consultant, and the regional advisors. The state TFTA has a constitution, bylaws, and ethical code. There is a state convention held annually in February or March. Each district is allowed 10 voting delegates, but all members are encouraged to attend all convention activities, as at the state level students can benefit from enriching workshop activities.
We'd love to help you start a TFTA chapter in your school! Please call Rosie Castillo at the TSTA staff office in Austin, 877-ASK-TSTA or rosiec@tsta.org. She will mail you a TFTA Resource Handbook and tell you to which region and 20 district your chapter will belong. She is always available to answer questions and provide assistance.
