 My
name is Jocelyn Jones and I am the very proud president of the
Deer Park Education Association. DPEA has proven over the years to
be an active and effective local in the Deer Park Independent School
District. We work together as a team to advocate for members’
rights as well as those of the students in our district. Our great
relationship with our administration and school board members helps
us to get positive things done. I look forward to opportunities
when I can answer members’ concerns and questions, or help them find
necessary information to create the best possible working
environment not only for themselves, but for the children as well.
DPEA believes in coming together for the
good of our entire district. We support our teachers and ESPs by
awarding them each year at an honorary dinner. DPEA supports our
Future Teachers of America students who would like to enter the
education field. We also award a Friend of Education honor to the
person or people in the district or community who go above and
beyond to help Deer Park ISD.
Deer Park ISD is a very special place to
be, and I feel very fortunate to be a part of it. Through advocacy,
recruitment, and leadership training, DPEA will continue to support
the employees and students of our district, and be an effective
voice for all.
