September, 2003
Legislative Forum
On Sept. 30, Spring Educators Association will be sponsoring a legislative forum to discuss the legislative session from the spring of 2003 and the upcoming special session on education in the spring of 2003. This forum will be at Spring High School in the library at two different times. The first session will begin at 3:00 p.m. while the second session will begin at 4:30. Hopefully, all school schedules can be accommodated with the two sessions. Invite non-members to join us as this meeting is for all school employees. If you have any questions regarding this meeting, contact Betty Gerhart.

Betty teaches at Anderson Elementary. Shirley can be found at Salyers Elementary and Mary Charlotte will be at Westfield’s Ninth Grade Center. NEA President Coming to Klein
Klein Educators Association is sponsoring a rally for school employees in area districts on September 9. NEA President Reg Weaver, a dynamic orator who captures attention through humor and his wonderful speaking voice, will be the featured speaker. TSTA President Donna Haschke will also be an honored guest. Tentative plans call for the rally to be at Klein High School where we would like to fill the auditorium. Put September 9 on your calendar because you will not be disappointed.
