NEA Representative Assembly
The NEA Representative Assembly (RA) takes place July 2-7. The RA is the largest democratic deliberative assembly in the world. It is the primary legislative and policymaking body of the Association and derives its powers from, and is responsible to, the membership. The Representative Assembly adopts the strategic plan and budget, resolutions, the Legislative Program, and other policies of the Association. The official hotel for the Texas delegation is the Grand Hyatt Washington. The room rate per night is $199 single/double occupancy, plus taxes and fees (currently 14.5%). The deadline to submit your lodging form to TSTA is May 15, 2016. Completed reservation forms MUST include the first night’s deposit. All rooms will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
