The 2022 NEA Representative Assembly takes place July 3-6 in Chicago. We will post updates and information here regarding the Texas Caucus Meeting and the Representative Assembly.
The RA is the largest democratic deliberative assembly in the world. It is the primary legislative and policymaking body of the Association and derives its powers from, and is responsible to, the membership. The Representative Assembly adopts the strategic plan and budget, resolutions, the Legislative Program, and other policies of the Association. Additional information may be found on the NEA website at http://ra.nea.org.
The official hotel for the Texas Delegation is the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago – Magnificent Mile. The room rate is $189 plus taxes per night for a single or double room occupied by one or two guests. Lodging requests can be made by filling out the following lodging request form: https://tsta.wufoo.com/forms/hotel-registration-form-nea-convention-delegates/.

Texas Caucus Meeting Schedule
The Texas Caucus is currently scheduled to meet at the Texas Delegation Hotel from 1-5pm CT on July 2 and 7-9am CT on July 3-6.
Texas Delegates capture the eyes of the entire nation at each NEA RA by dressing uniformly in Texas Flag attire. All Texas delegates should wear a “Texas” vest or shirt — i.e. Texas flag design with a white star on the right front chest — with white or navy blue pants, skirt, or shorts. All Texas delegates are expected to wear the official “uniform” on the days the NEA RA is in session.
