Senate passes charter, transportation bills
Today, the Senate gave final passage to the following bills:
- House Bill 2366 by Rep. Truitt, relating to the authority of an open-enrollment charter school operated by a municipality to give preference in admissions to children of employees of the municipality. The bill applies only to one charter school in Senator Nelson’s district.
- House Bill 3506 by Rep. Villarreal, which relates to the use by school districts of transportation allotment funds to provide bus passes or cards to certain students.
